Both amusement park and water park provide fun rides giving us the moment of a lifetime. One reason these two are similar is due to these rides. In both cases, the rides gives us a thrill and a memory to hold on to. Some may be relaxing such as the Lazy River, Ferris Wheel, and other small coasters, for those who wants less of a hectic time. On the other hand, rides such as Kingda Ka, Nitro, and King Cobra lets daring riders get the experience they were looking for. In addition, both are similar because of flash passes. Waiting in the interminable lines that snakes around and around can be a pain, I remember when I had to wait an hour for a ride that lasted five minutes. Luckily, both offers flash passes, allowing you to skip the entire wait, letting you go though rides a lot quicker and easier. This, however, is not where the similarities end, since they each sell food. One can get hungry after a day of fun, and these shops satisfies our need to eat. As you can see, the amusement park and water park can be twins, depending at how you look at them.
Even though they may be very alike, these comparisons seem trivial next to the amount of differences that seperates them. Amusement park rides usually can seat a great number of people, allowing you and all your friends to go on at once. This, however is false for the water park, where rides usually only allow one to four people, limiting the amount of people. Let's also not forget the joy of seeing your expression on a ride, the ability to keep it forever, share with friends to laugh with or admire. In amusement parks, most rides have cameras, capturing the moment where you are screaming your head off or keeping it together and looking fine. Water parks do not have this ability to do so on rides, even though sometimes you get a couple pictures takened by photographers, which is not the same. It doesn't get your reaction at the scariest part of the ride, but usually towards the end. Another difference is that rollercoasters can go upside down or can go to great heights. As for water rides, you obviously cannot go upside down and few seems to reach the sky. You may be thinking that amusement parks have more advantages than water parks, but which would you prefer to be at on a sizzling summer day? The water park allows you to cool off in the refreshing water. In the amusement park, you would probably be sweating like crazy, searching desperately for mist sprayes and soda refill stations.
In conclusion, the Six Flags amusement and water park vary from one another. The taunting question of which is better is up to you to decide, it is only an opinion. But as a fact, both are very similar and different in many ways.
